• February 2013 - Alduco Engineering Services provides Risk Based Inspection (RBI) services to the largest oil producer in Equatorial Guinea, Mobil Equatorial Guinea Inc (MEGI).
Alduco Engineering Services has been providing RBI services to MEGI offshore facilities since 2008. The inspection covers all of MEGI’s operated offshore assets in the Zafiro field located in the Gulf of Guinea near Malabo, Equatorial Guinea.
Alduco Engineering Services performed RBI services on the Jade Platform, FPSO Serpentina and FPSO Zafiro Producer between Februray and March 2013.
The scope of this inspection included survey of cathodic protection systems, structural components, coatings conditions, and process equipment. The purpose is to assess the condition of the above water portion of an offshore production asset in accordance with API RP‐2A. Locate sites of damage and obvious deterioration; identify features useful in any future repairs or modifications with particular emphasis on and consideration of personnel, equipment and environmental safety.
ExxonMobil’s upstream affiliate in Equatorial Guinea, Mobil Equatorial Guinea Inc. (MEGI), is the largest oil producer in the country. MEGI operates Block B, located offshore northwest of Bioko Island, in partnership with GEPetrol (23.75 percent) and Equatorial Guinea state (5 percent).
