Cathodic Protection Monitoring Equipment

ROV ll

Cathodic Protection Probe
in conjunction with Deepwater Corrosion Inc.

The world's best selling undersea general purpose tip-contact CP probe.

Product Overview

The Polatrak® ROV ll is the world's best selling general purpose tip contact undersea CP probe for offshore application. It was the first such probe to be manufactured with twin elements to allow on-line calibration, eliminating time-consuming procedures on-site, and reducing a large percentage of user error.

The ROV ll easily interfaces with the ROV, but can also be held by divers. It serves as either a tip-contact or proximity-style probe, and if ROV operators want to avoid connection to the umbilical, the ROV interfaces with Deepwater's Deep C Meter, providing a self-contained, direct subsea readout, viewable on the ROV's video camera. Like all Polatrak CP probes, the ROV ll is fully field-serviceable, with plug-in electrode elements and interchangeable components.

Applications

  • Platform and riser surveys
  • As remote for multiple electrode surveys
  • Drill rigs & FPSO surveys
  • Ballast & water tank surveys
  • Jetty & dock surveys

Main Benefits

  • Can be used in tip contact or proximity mode with a surface ground wire.
  • Rugged construction allows easy replacement of worn parts without replacing entire probe.
  • Simple interface to Deep-C-Meter System or wire through ROV umbilical.
  • Hundreds in service; proven track record.

Companion Products

  • Polatrak Deep-C-Meter.
