• June 2017 - Alduco Engineering Services a member of NAHSCO participates in 8th Ghana Oil & Gas summit held in Accra between the 22nd – 23rd June 2017 as part of a delegation from Equatorial Guinea.
A high powered delegation from Equatorial Guinea made up of the Minister of Mines & Hydrocarbons (MMH), His Excellency Gabriela Mbaga Obiang Lima, The Director of GEPETROL the national oil company Antonio Oburu, Centurion Law Firm and the National Association of Hydrocarbons Services Companies (NAHSCO), participated in the 8th Ghana Oil & Gas summit held in Accra between the 22nd – 23rd June 2017.
The Summit presented an unrivalled platform to meet, network and receive updates from the country’s leaders and industry players with the aim to drive Ghana’s oil, gas and power industries forward. The event was ceremonially opened by Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, Minister of Petroleum. He stated that bold steps have been taken to drive the industry forward and he emphasized Ghana is on its way to prosperity with oil wealth.

After the opening speeches the Excellency’s, the Minister of Petroleum of Ghana and envoys proceeded to the opening of the Exhibition, a lot of interest was aroused in the exhibition stand of the companies from Equatorial Guinea that included Alduco Engineering Services, Gepetrol and other member companies of NAHSCO who took advantage of the occasion to promote their services at the STAND.
At around 12 noon on June 22, the Minister visited the GE Stand and insisted that the Equatorial Guinean delegation take advantage of the trip, intensifying contacts and, above all, that people learn a lot.
Around 1:00 p.m. on June 22, the groups divided in two one group stayed behind to look after the stand at the exhibition while the second group made up of some members of NAHSCO together with the MMH, GEPetrol and Centurion law firm went to a meeting with “The Ghana Petroleum Commission” (the Upstream Oil & Gas regulator of Ghana) where the Equatorial Guinean delegation was received by the CEO of the Ghana Oil Commission in collaboration with its technical team. The meeting was characterized by numerous interventions, discussions and presentations on how the successfully implemented local content policies amongst others.
On June 23, GEPetrol, led by its DG - Antonio Oburu, organized a visit to Tema Oil Refinary (TOR) and invited a representative from the MMH and from NAHSCO. In this guided tour, it was made known that the personnel responsible for the refinery's operations are around more than 700 workers, all of them Ghanaians, this was an example of a local content success story.
The trip to Ghana was every successful, as Alduco Engineering Services ended signing several JVs with regional and international service companies.
